ADVANCING HEALTH EQUITY AWARD

Congratulations to Dr. Sarah Ailey who was awarded the Advancing Health Equity Award at the 2023 Association of Community Health Nurse Educators (ACHNE) (Association of Public Health Nurses) (APHN) Joint Conference. This award is presented to "an individual who has made significant contributions to advancing health equity in the field of community/public health nursing."


Introducing Alina Engelman: 2023 Disability and Disasters Award Winner

The Natural Hazards Center is pleased to announce Alina Engelman as the recipient of the 2023 Disability and Disasters Award. Engelman’s work focuses on health disparities for people who are deaf and disabled, including promoting justice for in global emergency preparedness and response to climate and other disasters.
