Who are we? The Alliance for Disability in Health Care Education, Inc. (ADHCE), is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. Membership/ donations to this organization are tax-deductible for the donors. This organization includes healthcare educators and professionals (e.g. medicine, nursing, public health, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists and others) that are working to integrate disability-related content and experiences into healthcare education and training programs. Through journal article publications, presenting at conferences, and participating in advisory panels and work-groups, the Alliance strives to ensure that the need for disability-related education and training in healthcare is recognized and addressed.

We offer monthly Zoom meetings of educational materials via presentations and or discussions that include disability curriculum resources (during each meeting and many resources accessible via our website). This material includes resources based on inclusion of disability based on related theory, research, and dissemination of clinical learning experiences in healthcare training/education. Our members have published solo and collaboratively and within their professional work, continue to move the needle forward on equity for disability healthcare.

On the first Thursday of every month at 11:30 EST ADHCE provides a networking opportunity to members and interested guests as well as near Monthly Presentations. The monthly meeting typically includes presentations around current topics of interest, advocacy, and announcements for upcoming events. You can also learn more about the organization and the wonderful work of its members. Students are welcomed. If you are not a member you will need to register to receive a free Zoom invite to attend monthly meetings.

ADHCE does not collect registration fees for any event and proudly offers monthly meetings and an annual conference at no additional cost to attendees. We do welcome donations to support ongoing operational expenses as the organization continues to grow. And if you are not yet a member please join ADHCE.
