“SPH Reads” is a community wide reading program hosted annually by the BUSPH Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice. It aims to encourage critical thought and discussion centered on a carefully chosen, thought-provoking book. The Fall 2023 selection is Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories from the Twenty-First Century. Disability Visibility is an anthology of essays by disabled people edited by Alice Wong, the founder and director of the Disability Visibility Project, an online community dedicated to creating, sharing, and amplifying disability media and culture.

Please note that there will be live captioning and an ASL interpreter during this event. For any questions or accommodation requests, please contact sphevent@bu.edu.
